Hi all. My new Clockwork lemons song - a synth pop tune which explores a confused relationship with an ex. We've probably all been there! Hope you enjoy! Mark.

Hi Clockwork Lemons, I loved the lush retro feel of the instrumental and found the production quite well done but unfortunately I wasn't as drawn to the vocal because the melody had a slightly predictable pattern and didn't hit me in a catchy way. I'm sorry to turn this down for now.
Hey Clockwork Lemons, the production was on point, loved the vintage synths and the dreamy atmosphere. The vocals sounded good too but for my house playlist there was just too much emphasis on the vocals as I'm looking for house/dance tracks that have captivating instrumental drop sections and more emphasis on the instrumental/beat. I'm afraid I'll pass for now but keep up the high quality work!
Hi, Quality production. All elements in the mix work together smoothly. For my electronic playlists this song has however too much focus on the vocals and too little on instrumental and melodic progression to see it fit in the mood with the other songs. I like lush synths and deep pads, more a style like Ben Bohmer. Wish you all the best with your release! Cheers, Jens
i thought that the sound design is super creative, vocals are very top40 station coded. it’s totally just my personal preference but i kinda wish the song has this big break out element which i felt would further solidify the hook on here
Sorry for passing on this track for now. The song has more of a club-ready type of arrangement and it veers away from the indie direction of my playlist.
Bom trabalho!
Honestly, I think this is a pretty cool song, it certainly is channeling that new wave era of music, which is very fun. For me and my contemporary Pop preferences, however, I really prefer more than even balance of acoustic and synthetics, and this one here really just feels too synthetic for me overall. I would personally love to hear more acoustic instruments blended into a future pop song of yours, for a closer consideration for placement with us next time around
Hi Clockwork Lemons, thank you for sharing your song, but sadly this song isn't quite aligned with my playlist as it is Electronic Pop leaning and I usually go with a chill and mellow Indie approach or uplifting and energetic type of Alt Rock. Really sorry to say no for now. Other than that, I think the overall production was pretty good as the groove of the beat was pretty engaging, but I think the vocal melody could be a bit better by having more patterns and variations. This is just my opinion and it is meant to help. Have a nice day! :)
Hey there! To start with, production quality is at its very highest here. The mix feels so well-balanced. Dreamy pads made me close my eyes: just to enjoy the moment more. Stunning hi-hats. Unfortunately, the vocal performance did not resonate enough with me. I'm really sorry. Your music is a wonderful piece of art - thank you for the submission!"
Hey Mark, thanks for sending this over. I enjoyed the combination of the driving groove and the expressive vocal. The lyrics and performance make the relationship theme feel believable, giving the song a genuine emotional core without losing its momentum. I couldn’t find a place for it in my playlist, though. I’m mainly featuring alternative electronic music where the instrumental side takes centre stage, while this release has a stronger pop sensibility and is clearly built around the song itself. Thanks again for sharing it with me. I hope the release connects with plenty of listeners, and I wish you all the best. Keep creating! Domas
Hi, I think the rhythmic direction gives this track a lot of personality. I also think there’s drum and bass influence that comes through naturally, and the beat carries a sweet energy that keeps the song engaging. There’s a clear intention behind the production, and the instrumental succeeds in creating an atmosphere that’s both dynamic and enjoyable. The vocals, however, didn’t always feel as integrated into that energy. At several points, it seemed to sit a bit far from the rhythm, which softened the impact of some of the strongest sections. I felt the performance could interact more actively with the groove, allowing the rhythm and the vocal to reinforce each other instead of developing as separate layers. One idea worth exploring would be to shape the vocal phrasing around the beat’s natural momentum, using rhythmic emphasis, melodic variation, or subtle changes in delivery to strengthen that connection. Even small adjustments can make the song feel more cohesive and help the vocal become an essential part of the track’s energy instead of simply accompanying it. This release isn’t the right fit for our playlist at this time. I enjoyed the production and the stylistic direction, but I’m currently looking for songs where the vocal and instrumental feel more unified throughout the track. I appreciate you sharing your music and hope these thoughts are helpful as you continue developing your sound. Wishing you the very best with this release, and I hope our paths cross again with a future submission.
This one has a really nostalgic charm to it, and I can appreciate the character that brings. I'm just leaning toward a more modern sound, so this didn't quite fit the direction I'm curating. Thanks for sharing your music, and I hope to hear from you again soon!
Hey, thanks so much for the submission. It's an interesting song. But unfortunately, the vocals don't quite do it for me here. I'm really sorry.
Hey Clockwork Lemons, your song "Side Effects" has good vocals and synths, but the beat doesn't feel varied enough and feels quite dull in how it bounces. Make it much punchier next time so it makes even more of an impression. Also, try to make the layering within the chorus more interesting. Right now, it just doesn't feel unique enough. You definitely have talent, so keep going. For now, unfortunately, I have to decline. I wish you a nice weekend.
Hey thanks for sharing. Solid production and a resonant vocal throughout. The synth is great and is well complemented with a nice low end. That said as much we enjoyed the track, regretfully ´Side Effects´ does not fully align with our much more HI NRG Disco dance pop vibe and only for that reason we pass. Best of luck with the release! Thank again, appreciated listening.
Hi Clockwork Lemons, thank you so much for sending your track my way! Your vocals are fantastic, and the production is really top-notch. However, I'm currently looking for songs with a more modern sound, and yours leans a bit more towards a retro vibe. Unfortunately, it’s not the right match for me today. I’m really sorry, but I wish you all the best and hope to hear more from you in the future!
After listening to your track carefully, I can say that it showcases a strong level of musical quality. The production is well executed, the sound is polished, and the overall arrangement reflects thoughtful craftsmanship and attention to detail. However, due to the high volume of submissions I'm currently reviewing and the level of selectivity that comes with it, I feel that the vocal performance doesn't quite create the connection I'm looking for. For that reason, I've decided not to move forward with adding it to my playlist. Thank you for sharing your music, and I sincerely wish you all the best with your release.
Hello! We appreciate your hard work on the production and careful singing throughout. However your song feels a little uplifting for us with your voice and chords, which doesn't fit quite nice among other much deeper tracks that we feature in our "deep & melodic electronic" playlist. And your song doesn't fit nice among other dreamy songs with more presence of soft guitars throughout that we prefer in our "electronic rock/indie" one 🙏
Hey Clockwork Lemons, loving the house beat pattern and bass line on this track! Overall well placed sections on the arrangement with good progressions. Unfortunately, I did feel that there's something about the vocal I didn't connect with as much as I think I could have. I do think it's the melodic lines and rhythms on the vocal. It's a bit too steady and predictable in pattern which also repeats for all the verses and starts to make the track a bit too fatiguing. I do think more dynamic vocal rhythms and melodies will make this track shine more as the production is already sounding great. I'll have to decline for now, looking forward to more tracks!
Hi there and thank you for sharing your music! A nice and clean production for sure. Good work on the soundtrack! I am sure there is an audience for this, but I am not sure about the vocals. Too many vocal effects on there for me personally. I prefer more natural sounding vocals as I believe this is better for audience retention. This is just my personal taste and opinion of course. Good luck finding your audience, I am sure you will! All the best, R
I enjoyed the polished presentation and the commercial electronic pop direction. The concept has clear appeal, but I was left wanting a more immediate vocal hook and a defining musical moment that would encourage repeat plays. For Viral in India, I usually prioritize songs that make an instant impression and remain memorable after just one listen. I think there's a solid foundation here, and I wouldn't be surprised if this connects well with listeners who enjoy polished dance-pop. I'm just keeping the playlist very selective, so this one narrowly misses the cut for me.
Hello Clockwork Lemons! I will be declining your track because the quality of the mix didn't meet my standards. I think it needs more fullness. I think it's already very clear. It just needs to have that feeling where it kind of engulfs the ear. Great song by the way, just a fix in the mix and you're good to go!
I like the groove of the synth bass in the arrangement! But the production was a little too electronic pop sounding for the more live instrument sound I am going for. Apologies but I must pass on this submission.
Saludos cordiales!
Sorry for declining this track for now. The song has a strong four on the floor beat and the design of the synths were really engaging. However, within my playlist, it sets a different listening experience than what I typically focus on.
Hello. Thank you for your submission. Unfortunately, I didn't really connect with the vocal timbre and melody. I was also looking for a stronger hook for playlist listening that would encourage repeated plays. Overall it's a well produced track, but it sits outside my curent playlist direction. Thanks again for sharing your music and best of luck with the release.
I liked the clean production, the panning of the elements and the steady mood of the track. However, though enjoyable, the overall mood and structure strayed from my current selection that leans more towards Indie Folk/Alternative Indie. That said, I'll have to decline for now. Thank you for sharing your art. Wishing you all the best with this release and your musical journey.
great energy and the vocals and also great drive and the Beat great choice of tempo as well. But for my playlists and taste the Beat also sounds a little bit to much computer produced a little bit too much repetitive and a little bit too much forseeable. What I miss is some more variation what I miss is some more dynamics and what I also miss is a bit more organicness in the sound of the beat. It's still a great song idea and I'm sending my best wishes - Dominik
Hey there, Clockwork Lemons - thanks for the submission. Your track has a nice, warm sound with plenty of space in the mix. I thought there was a slight retro feel to this one too, and the vocal had a decent character. For me, the synth patterns & drum arrangement felt a little too basic & predictable. Also, the melody didn't feel memorable or exciting. I was waiting for the big hook or section, but it never quite arrived and stayed on one level. Obviously, this is just my opinion, but its not right for the playlists, so I'm going to pass I'm afraid. Good luck with it.
Hi Clockwork Lemons! Thanks for sharing this track with me. The synths and the catchy vocals were truly engaging. I’m truly sorry for declining this track as I’m not connecting with the house beats as I’m looking for a more syncopated or steady groove for my Indie lineup. I think the rap delivery felt a bit stiff in terms of rhymes as it feels a bit too on point with the tempo without the internal schemes to create a more compelling rap delivery. Take note that its’ just my humble opinion.
Hello and thank you for submission. Song is nicely produced and mixed, however it's not in our genre range, so we have to pass on this one. Kind Regards
The sound design, sample selection, and the arrangement of the track conveys musical movement and I find the melody quite striking. Conversely, the track overall musical direction shifts the stylistic leaning of my playlist towards a lofi and indie rock so I have to let go of this song for now.

Hey, Thx for sending your tune. The song has a nice idea, but I am not a big fan of the kick drum... It's a bit too hard IMO.
Hey, thanks for the submission! The song is not bad, the production is solid... I like the vibe on the drums, the bass line is also nice and the melodies have a cool vibe... nice atmosphere in general! Unfortunately I didn't feel the vocals as much as I would have liked... so I'll have to pass this time but keep up the good work and have a great release!
