Hi, thanks for sharing this track. I liked the vocal tone and the relaxed groove of the beat but the background elements felt a little subtle in some parts, and I was looking for a bit more texture to give the production some extra character. Wishing you all the best with your music career.
Hey Ronin 888, thanks for the submission. I enjoyed the smooth, dreamy atmosphere here - the laid-back flow gives the track an easy feel, and the production comes together nicely. Stylistically, though, my hip-hop selection is rooted more in classic old-school sounds, with jazzy samples, dusty textures and traditional boom-bap character. This one has a more modern production style, so it sits a little outside the world I’m building with the playlist. Appreciate the listen, and wishing you the best with the release! Cheers, Domas

Really enjoyed this track. The overall sound feels polished, the production is clean, and the energy fits the playlist naturally. The vocals and delivery also work well with the instrumental. Happy to support this one.

Thanks for the submission! I really enjoyed the track. The delivery feels confident, the flow is smooth, and the overall presentation comes together nicely. I like the energy and character you bring to the song. This is a great fit for my playlist, so I’m happy to accept it. Keep creating and pushing forward.
Hey there, Ronin 888 - thanks for the submission. your track has a crisp, bright sound and some nice atmospherics. The backing is quite simple - no bad thing - but I wanted a bit more variation or development as it does get a little repetitive after a while. The vocal is ok, but I'm not a big fan of auto-tune, and as this is mainly a sung vocal, it's not a good fit for my rap playlist, and the vocal isn't unique or technically impressive enough to be in my vocals playlist. So, I'm going to pass on this one. Good luck with it
Hey there! We really enjoy that lead layering and smooth voice flow of yours throughout. However the overall vibe feels a bit sad and somewhat moody/nostalgic, especially with that deep tone of your rapping for our personal taste, which doesn't fit quite nice among other tracks with slightly lighter warm melodic rapping along that we usually feature in our 'melodic hip hop & rnb' playlist. We mean, we sometimes can really share a little sad & nostalgic tracks, but with slightly warmer voice throughout. However we usually place a bit lighter & upbeat tracks there. Sorry, just trying to be honest with you 🙏
Hey, Quality production. loved the low end in this one. The vocal is way too digitally sounding for us. we prefer vocals with less processing. Mainly just focus on raw rap vocals, more like Nas his music for example. Good luck on your musical journey Cheers, Jens
Hey Ronin 888. Hearing a good arrangement already on this track. Great sections with nice atmospheric breaks. However, I didn't connect with the vocal as much as I think I could have. I do think it's because the heavy effects on the vocal which made the lyrics very hard to understand. Maybe toning back on effects would help as the vocals right now feel very unclear to me. I'll decline for now because of the lesser clarity on the vocal

Thank you for sharing this record. I liked it almost immediately because the beat creates a strong pocket for your vocals, and you make good use of that space with a delivery that feels confident and completely natural.
Hey! thanks again for sharing your music with us. I’ve noticed across your recent submissions that you consistently build beats with great vibe, weight and a production style that feels confident and well defined. That part of your sound already feels quite recognizable, and I think it gives your tracks a strong rhythm from the start. I still feel could be developed further, as I’ve mentioned in some of the previous reviews, is the way the vocals create memorable reference points. The voice fits the production, but it doesn’t always land on a phrase, or melodic idea that stays with the listener long enough to become part of the artist’s identity from track to track. I think giving a few hooks a more emblematic role could help a lot here. Rather than constantly introducing new vocal ideas, it might be more effective to choose one or two phrases with real character and let them return with small changes in delivery, harmony, or beat support. That could make the songs easier to recognize, give listeners something to remember, and strengthen the connection between the production style and the artist’s overall identity. That missing sense of a more distinctive vocal signature is the main reason we couldn’t approve the track for the playlist this time. The production already carries strong impact, so developing hooks that feel just as representative could make the whole concept much more powerful. I hope this gives you something useful to explore, and I’m wishing you a lot of success with this release and the next ones.
Hi there Ronin 888! I will be declining your track because the mix right now is a little too muffled and unclear for my liking. I do like the beat though. I think it hits hard, the kick definitely has impact and the synths give this spacey atmospheric feeling I like. Sorry for the decline.
You've got a solid hiphop foundation here, and I like the way the beat moves underneath everything :) I’m just missing that unmistakable boom bap pocket and raw head-nod feel that I’m looking for on this playlist. Bringing the drums forward with a stronger swing, punchier hits, and a more grounded sample or melodic element could help give it that extra character. Keep digging into that groove, I think you’re close to finding a really strong pocket :)
There’s a good sense of movement here, but the club-focused energy feels a little stronger than what I’m looking for right now. I’d love to hear the groove softened a bit so the track has more room to breathe. The energy is definitely there though, and I’d happily give your next one a listen.
Hi there! Great track. Really loved the rap vocal content and the instrumetnal . The mix sounds clean. However , for our playlist , we lookout for a bit more old school Snoop Dogg style rap stuff . Rest ,the track has got some real good potential. Good luck! can't wait to hear more tracks from you.
Hey Ronin 888, While I can absolutely appreciate your artistry here, I would have avoided mixing together genres on this one. This song blends slow and sexy R&B, with autotuned vocal flows that definitely have a rap edge to them, making the song fall somewhere between a couple of playlists - ultimately not being a great fit for either one. On future subs, consider sticking to one clear influence - be it R&B or rap - to be a better fit with us. For the music - VH
Bom trabalho!
Half astronaut, half Martian is a very well-produced release, careful in its sound. It’s also intimate and atmospheric. But I miss more brightness and a happier, more moving energy. I don’t think it fits in my selection, mainly because I focus on a more touching and positive theme. So, thanks a lot for sharing your project, but I would have preferred more surprise.
Hey Ronin, thanks for sending your track Half Astronaut, Half martian our way. Loved the lyrics but we feel the track is a bit slow paced. We will sadly have to skip this one. Keep making more music.
Hi there! Thanks for this track. Catchy and emotive vocal performance; the lyrics are well presented. The music enhances the overall track's vibe. I like the mix of smooth melodies and catchy beats. I like listening to this track, and I appreciate your work. But to my regret, I'm looking for a slightly different sound for my playlist. Sorry, and I hope for your understanding. Have a good day!
I truly enjoyed the innovative instrumental work here; it carries a wonderful vibe and some truly memorable melodic ideas. However, the vocals and overall mix didn't quite resonate with my curation style on this occasion. I appreciate you sharing your music and wish you the very best in your endeavors!
Creo que la canción está bien producida y suena bien, pero me falta algo para que me convenza del todo. La melodía principal y el estribillo no me han llegado enamorar de todo
Hi there! The beat had a very catchy groove. But I will be passing for now as the vocal mix sounds a tad too thin making it a tad too difficult to understand. Apologies!
After a careful evaluation, I feel your song creates a relaxed atmosphere, supported by good sound quality and very well-executed production. However, when comparing it with the criteria of my current curation, I feel that both the vocal performance and the song’s more laid-back character do not fully meet the expectations I’m currently looking for in my selection.
Hi! Thanks for sharing your track! The rap sounds rhythmic and engaging, and the low vocal timbre gives it a deep sound. The instrumental blends smoothly with the vocals, but the overall vibe feels a bit monotonous for my playlists. There's a missing punchline, a vocal hook, or a change of pace to grab the listener's attention.
I liked the atmospheric production and the way the Auto-Tuned vocal blends into the spacey instrumental. The main issue for me was the lack of an immediately recognizable vocal hook. At four minutes, I wanted a stronger moment that would stay with me after listening. The track has character, but it felt too understated for Viral in India.
