Hi! Thanks for sending this song. I like its lyrics and feel but for my playlists I prefer a more traditional blues / folk / jazz with a bit darker theme and mood. Keep it up!
Dear Alex, thank you very much for sharing "No Matter Where" with us! The track has a great foundation for a good pop rock song, great melodies. However, we think the song would benefit from better mixing and mastering. The current mix sounds a little unbalanced and unpolished, which keeps it from reaching its full potential. E.g. the snare needs to be better merged with the rest, the vocal doesn't sit well in the mix, the high and mid rage need to be better ballanced... Keep refining your art, we’re excited to hear more from you in the future! Best of luck!
Hey there, thanks for the submission. Your track has a decent energy and a very traditional pop-rock vibe. Because of this, it did feel slightly dated to me. Melodically, there were some nice moments, but overall it was a bit too safe and predictable imo. I prefer slightly edgier songs with a more modern sound, and with unique or memorable melodies/sound choices, etc. I thought the mix was a little hollow too - kind of harsh in the upper mids, and tinny - lacking in warmth and body. So, while it is a pleasant pop-rock track, its not right for the playlist and I'm going to pass I'm afraid. Good luck with it
Hola. Saludos cordiales!
Hi Alex Saunders! Thanks for sharing this track. The songwriting feels so inspiring alongside the soaring vocal delivery. I’m quite sorry for declining this track as I noticed the mix of the bass and drums were a bit bright for me. I’m actually looking for a well balanced low end in the bass and a punchier kick that have depth. Wishing you all the best!
Hey Alex Saunders, This is a difficult one to figure out. For a rock sub, I would have been looking for a more classic rock approach on the drums and guitars, leaning into a more traditional electric guitar approach - avoiding incorporating other genres. This track has more of a pop-rock sound on the harmonies an singing than I prefer, making it just the miss the mark for my tastes. It's also very synthetic sounding on the guitars, like you've dragged and dropped MIDI instruments on the track and not polished them. On future subs, at least avoiding pop-inspired chord progressions or vocals would be key to being a better fit with us!
Bom trabalho!
Hey there, thank you for sharing your song with me! I think that the groove had a really nice mood, well done with the overall theme that you have created, it was really interesting in my opinion. The durmb beat was simple but it sounded cool in my opinion. You have managed to create a really interesting groove in my opinion, really nice job there. For me personally the electric guitar themes were really really interesting, very well done with that, it sounded really cool in my opinion. You have a nice voice, but the vocal melody was just not as catchy for me this time unfortunately I'm really sorry. Unfortunately I have to decline your submission this time. Good luck with your submission!
I gave your track a close listen and found myself really enjoying the instrumental sections; there are some genuinely catchy ideas woven throughout. It's with a bit of hesitation, then, that I have to admit the vocals didn't quite connect with me as strongly as I'd hoped. While this particular track isn't quite the right fit for my curation at the moment, I truly appreciate you sending it my way and wish you continued success.
Hi A dynamic mix with a good energy. The distorted electric guitars are however too strong to fit my playlist mood. I focus on slow and chill guitars to fit in with the rest of the songs in my playlists. Hope you will find the right playlists for this one! Cheers, Jens
Apologies, I won't be able to accept your submission for now, as I think the vocals are a bit too forward in terms of mix. I'm trying to find a bit more cohesive in terms of processing. I would still say that your track is really solid in general. Wishing you the best.
The artist comes through with an appealing presence here, and I could appreciate the vocals much more clearly in this track. The voice takes a strong role in the mix, adds personality, and helps create a more immediate connection with the song. I think the main area that could still be developed is the amount of memorable vocal phrasing. The voice has presence, but it doesn’t always build enough distinct lines that can really expand that identity and make the performance feel fully embedded in the production. One idea could be to give a few vocal phrases more space and let them return in key sections, maybe with small changes in cadence, melody, or intensity. That would help the voice feel even more involved in the mix while also giving the listener something clearer to recognize and remember. The vocal presence is already one of the strongest aspects of the track, but I still felt it needed a few more defining phrases to fully carry the song and make that identity feel memorable from start to finish. That’s the main point I’d give more attention to before considering it for the playlist. I hope the suggestion is useful, and I’m wishing you lots of success with the release and everything ahead.
Great energy in the songwriting and lyrics which I really like but the vocals sometimes sound a bit rushing the beat and the snare sounds a bit too strong in the mix to my ears and lists. I also miss a bit more un forseeable variations of the chord progression. Still beautiful message and songidea. In general the master also sounds a bi ttoo dense and compressed to my ears and lists. I miss a bit more depth and space in the mix. Still beautiful song. Best wishes
The guitar tone is actually really cool and gives the track a distinct character, but the processing feels a little too pronounced for my taste. I think easing back on some of the effects could let the natural texture of the guitar come through a bit more while keeping that interesting tone intact. There’s a lot to like in the sound, so I’d be curious to hear where you take it next.
Greetings and thank you for sharing your song! A nice and clean production, I like the instrumental! The vocals also drop in at a good timing for audience retention, good work on that! The vocals themself are not my cup of tea though. I miss a bit more raw power in there. The voice is pretty soft where I prefer a bit more energy, right from the start. I am sure there is an audience for this though, good luck finding it! All the best, R
despite having so much going on on here the song remains super cohesive, vocals sound so effortless here. it's a clever track but the melody didn't resonate with me quite as strongly on this one, i'm sorry, totally a matter of personal taste at this point
Hi, thanks for sharing your song! I liked the vocal performance and the overall warmth of the production. The drums felt a little gentle underneath the guitars, so I was looking for a bit more presence from the rhythm section. Wishing you success with your music career.
Thank you for the song! The composition is built in an interesting way, and the vocals complement the track really well, creating a cohesive and engaging sound. The arrangement feels thoughtful, and the song has its own character throughout. However, I’m currently looking for songs with a more catchy and memorable chorus that stands out and leaves a stronger impression. Overall, it’s a solid piece of work—thanks for sharing it, and I’d be happy to hear your future releases.
