Boom Boom addresses corruption in government, police brutality, the affordability crisis, and the spectacle of war and does so unapologetically. It’s grinding hypnotizing guitar riff and call and response vocals make for a unique, powerful and necessary song. Remember to vote.

Hey there, James - thanks for the submission. Your track has a really raw, gnarly sound which I thought was fun. There's bag of energy and lots of ideas in here. I did like the tone of the guitars especially. For me, the drums get a little lost in the mix though. I wanted a fuller, crisper drum sound with better transients. The vocals have character, and I thought the backing vox was good, but they were all too loud imo, and got a bit too close to gimmicky. As for the song itself, there are some nice moments, but I didn't hear enough that I found really memorable or repayable. Overall, its an interesting, entertaining track, but there are one or two issues, and I didn't connect with the melodies enough I'm afraid.
despite having so much going on on here the song remains super cohesive, vocals are made for the radio. it's a super clever track but the mix isn't quite as polished sounding as i like it to be to fit into my curation, i'm sorry
Hey James, thanks a lot for your submission. appreciate that. Great guitar work, the energy is engaging. However, we think your track would benefit from better mixing and mastering. In particular the female backing vocals don't sit well in the mix and feel a little disconnected from the rest... keep polishing your craft. keep on rockin'!
Greetings! I like the groove of the arrangement catchy. But I will pass for now as the mix is a tad too saturated and distorted for my preference. Sorry!
Hi there! We appreciate your voice sync along with guitars and drums. However the overall tempo of your song is a bit slow and overall vibe feels a bit moody and somewhat thoughtful with the tone of guitars and your singing, which doesn't fit quite nice among other slightly faster and lighter upbeat rock songs that we usually feature in our 'rock legends' playlist to be honest 🙏
Hi there guys and thank you for submitting your music! Good work on the energy level in there. The instrumental sounds great with those strings. The vocals only drop in at 36 seconds and this is a bit too late for me though. I personally prefer the vocals earlier on, for audience retention. I am sure there is an audience for this, but the pace of the song is a bit too slow for me, especially at the start. All the best, R
Hey James MArsh, For a rock sub, I would have been looking for a more classic rock approach on the drums and guitars, leaning into a more traditional classic electric guitar approach - with aggressive though not poppy vocals, that match the classic rock sound. This track had more of an alt rock sound like Rage Against The Machine, but also an indie vocal delivery like the vocalists from Arcade Fire, than just purely classic rock, making it miss the mark for my tastes. On future subs, consider avoiding alt or indie rock, sticking to a more classic rock approach to be a better fit with us! For the music -VH
Thanks for sending this over! The track has some really strong energy and I'm digging those guitar riffs. While I'm always open to rock submissions, the vocals on this one didn't quite hit the mark for me personally. All the best with it!

Hey James Marsh, I liked the captivating vocals and the sick guitar playing. I'd love to share this to my On The Road playlist, cheers!
Hey James, thank you for sending “Boom Boom” our way! We admire the track's lyrics but we feel it is a bit mellow in its progression. We'll sadly have to skip this one. Keep making music, we hope to hear more from you soon! :)
Hola. Fuerte abrazo!
Thanks for your submission. I can appreciate the raw energy of this track. Those guitars are tough and very epic. Cool backing vocals! In saying that, this track is a little too dark and heavy for what I'm looking for. I also feel the mix is not quite gluing together in the way that I'm looking for. Just a personal opinion and taste. Thanks and good luck with the release.
