Hey, Nick Thorp and The Truth! I just listened to Lay Your Love Down. Your sound feels sincere, with chords that create an immersive, retro texture while the vocals flow smoothly and calmly. However, this country approach with a retro aesthetic doesn't quite align with the current Chill direction that resonates most with our listeners today. Still, it was great to hear your work and discover your unique style. Don't forget to leave a positive rating for our team! Nage, Chill Connections

Hello Nick Thorp and The Truth, Thank you for sharing this. I’m so captivated by the dreamy atmosphere and soothing vocals in this arrangement. Unfortunately, I’ll have to decline as the mix of the guitars, bass, and piano felt slightly recessed for me. I’m focusing on tracks with a more potent mix in the guitars and piano, and a well defined low end in the bass. I want to mention that it’s simply my personal preference. Best wishes!

Thanks for your submission. I can appreciate the smooth track you have here. The performances are solid and the production is very tidy. I especially like the sound of those electric guitars. That said, I'm after something a little more edgy and alternative sounding in both the song writing and production in regards to what I'm playlisting. Still a vey nice and sweet sounding track, just not quite to my taste with what I'm playlisting. Thanks and good luck with the release.

The song is nice and strong in terms of the story and the structure. But the fact that the song did not sound more modern was a problem for the playlists I have created. The vocal arrangements are fantastic but the song also needs a much bigger lift into a more obvious chorus in my opinion. Don't be afraid to use that great voice to help the choruses sound more obvious- stand out - more in the song. I also think that if you were to use more modern sounding virtually created ideas- the rhythms especially- that would also help create a song that would be a smoother fit in one of my lists. Lots of talent at work here and I hope you got a good take away from the feedback that you can use moving forward.

Hi Nick, Thanks for reaching out this track! I found myself admiring the silky soft pop/rock sound on this track, as the lush acoustics of the composition accompanies the wistful, pleasant performance. However, this was slightly more adult contemporary and singer-songwriter oriented for me, while I am searching for more mainstream indie pop/rock at the moment. I hope this gets more success, and best of luck!

Hi there Nick Thorp. This is a good fit for my coastal playlist. Nicely relaxed and melow. A little energetic with the instrumentation but this still fits. Adding this, thanks very much!

Hey Nick Thorp and The Truth, There's no doubt this is a smooth and silky soft pop or soft rock song, you have wonderful vocals and lovely acoustic instrumentation. However, it's precisely the gentler, "softer" sound design that is the reason for the decline. On future pop or rock subs, consider sending me something with a more commanding instrumentation and vocal presence, if you have it, to be a closer consideration for placement with us next time around For the music -VH

Hey there! Love the instrumental melody here, but the vocals sound a little sharp and slightly too loud in the mix with some extra low end affecting the overall balance. Smoothing out the vocal tone and refining the low end could help the mix feel more polished. Apologies for the decline today, but this is just my personal take and it is meant to help. I appreciate the share and have a good one! :)

The song has a great potential and we really appreciate the creativity behind it. The originality and the songwriting is top notch! However, our feedback for this song is on vocal mixing. We felt the vocal is a bit too dry and somehow detached from the instrumental. Maybe adjusting the EQ, volume or maybe adding some effects can help the vocals blend naturally within the instrumens

This release has an appealing atmosphere that stayed with me after listening. I enjoyed how the production supports the artist’s direction without distracting from the main performance. I’m happy to accept it for playlist placement.
