Hi there Kobus! Thank you for sharing your music with me. A nice and playful tune for sure! I like the accordeon in there, the instrumental is clean and well done! The vocals drop in at 17 seconds which is not bad for audience retention but I do prefer it a bit earlier. The production is clean but the pace of the song is a bit too slow for me though. I prefer more energetic singing right from the start, also for audience retention. All the best, R

I absolutely love that it sounds like you are singing Ranchero music in Dutch and English.. this is VERY VERY clever. I did hear an Americana friendly vibe- more in the choruses than verses- but overall the ranchero influenced ideas that made the song so cool pulled it wide of the mark stylistically. I also think that you might not want to have so much crowd noise coming in the song when and where it does. IF you feel compelled to do that I would keep it to the intro and outro. I love international music of all sorts and have for ... a long time Kobus-- but I have never heard such a ... brave.. combination of styles and cultures.... coming together in one song. Keep up the very interesting work and I hope you got a good take away or two from the feedback.

Hi! Thanks for sending this tune. I like your nostalgic, dynamic sound and the atmosphere of the song but for my playlists I prefer a more classic jazz / blues with a b darker theme and mood. Also for my playlists I focus on tracks with lyrics in English. Keep it up!

Elite musicianship and I enjoyed the strength of your singing. I'm sorry to not share. Although I enjoyed the singing, the vocal melodies themselves didn't connect with me enough. Hello Kobus Engels, This track certainly has great live recorded instruments, and you have lovely folk vocals. Your melody is also quite memorable, I'm repeating it now even after the song has finished playing, which means you have a good foundation there. What I'm noticing, however, is that you have traded low frequency drum and instrumentation punch, for clarity on the vocal line and accordion. The song feels very traditional, and not quite as contemporary in terms of mix, as I'm looking for in a folk or pop submission. I would be looking for a warmer low-end mix, bringing out the Drums and the low instruments a bit more, if future Folk submissions of yours are to be a better match with us
