Thanks for allowing me to give my thoughts on your song. Overall, I think the vocals killed it with the vocal delivery and I really like the rasp you have. The arrangement also shows good variations that kept the sections fresh. It's just that the vocal mix does feel a bit disconnected from the instruments and it could still be a bit more cohesive. For now, I'll be passing on this song.

Hi! Thanks for sending this awesome tune. I like its old-school, rockin' sound. I will feature it on my New Blues / Americana playlist. I will be happy if you can share it with your fans on social media.

You have a striking vocal tone and the parts where you distort feels satisfying. However, some notes in the vocal delivery, for instance, around 1:02 feels a little bit shaky. For now, I'll be declining the song.

Hello there! I quite enjoyed the bright tone of the acoustic guitar in the track. But I will pass for now as the vocals were a tad too soft in the mix for me. Sorry!

Loving the classic Blues Rock guitar arrangement in this track! But I felt that the vocals weren't able to cut through the mix enough which affected the clarity for me. Apologies but I must decline this submission.

There’s a cool character to this track, and I appreciate the distinct atmosphere you’ve created! The overall sound leans a little too vintage for the direction I’m looking for in my playlist right now. Bringing in some fresher production details and a more contemporary feel could help give the arrangement a different edge. Keep experimenting with your sound, you might discover an exciting new direction! :)

Hey DOug, thank you for sending "The Sway" our way. We feel the song has a good attack from the start, but we feel the song has a predictable build and drop patterns. Sadly, we will have to decline. Thanks again!

Thanks for your submission. I can appreciate the raw and organic instrumental performances. The guitar work is very tasty and well played. That said, this is not quite the vibe I'm looking for in my playlists. As much as it's a very well written song, it's a little too conventional sounding for me. Just an opinion. I'm after something a little more alternative with both the production and song writing. Still a very solid tune and I wish you all the best with the release.

Won't be able to get your submission for now, as I think the drums weren't cohesive enough in terms of mix. Also, it might be a bit too mid-tempo compared to the ones that I got currently. Still, thank you for sharing this one with me. I wish you the best. I will still commend the melody that you had, especially on the chorus.

Hi there and thank you for sending in your song! A nice and vibrant tune for sure, the strings sound crisp clean, good work on the instrumental. I like the natural vocals, those are hard to find these days with AI. I am sure there is an audience for this, but the pace of the song is a bit too slow for me though. I personally prefer more energetic singing right from the start, for audience retention. All the best, R

I liked the guitar work, the pace of the track and the varied elements the track has as it added texture to the track. However, it didn't fully connect with my current Indie Folk/Alternative Indie-leaning selection. That said, I'll have to pass for now. Thank you for sharing your art. Wishing you all the best.

Cool bluesy guitar theme played on acoustic guitar in the introduction. Cool vocals entering at 0:10. It's a nice idea that the bluesy melody gets repeated under the main vocals in the verse. However, the reason why I am passing is that the repetition of this theme feels overhwhelming after a while. I'd have preferred a more subtle repetition. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Hi Doug Schmude, Wow, there's actually a lot to say about this track. I think you have an interesting singing style, you definitely remind me of Tim Armstrong from Rancid, which I think is high praise because he has a unique voice that is incredibly memorable. It's like if Rancid were to do a blues rock track, but also with Beck. Have you ever heard of Aerosmith's "Honkin on Bobo?" Kinda reminds of that album. It's an interesting combination of genres of rock that you have here, but ultimately, I think this flurry of rock styles obscures whether it's a good fit for my playlist at all. What I'm really looking for is something a kin to classic hard rock, and not necessarily a mixture of other subgenres, or even classic blues rock, which I think this track contains. Basically what I would be looking for if you were to submit another track in the future would be more aggressive, up-tempo hard rock music, maybe with a little less acoustic instruments, but with vocals and solos just like this, to be a more perfect match with us

Hey! Thanks for submitting your music! I found the rhythm quite solid, with some great instrumental elements working around the melody. The structure also helps maintain a consistent atmosphere, giving the track a nice sense of direction throughout. One aspect that felt less cohesive to me was the vocal performance. Some phrases seem slightly detached from the beat’s main energy, making the delivery feel a little scattered at times. I think there’s an opportunity to give the vocals a clearer sense of direction, particularly in how certain lines enter, develop, and connect with the rhythm. A more intentional approach to those moments could help the voice feel better integrated while bringing greater impact to the song’s strongest sections. That lack of vocal cohesion ultimately made it difficult for me to connect with the track enough to include it in the playlist this time. Still, it’s just a suggestion from my perspective, and I hope it offers something useful to consider. I appreciate the work you’ve put into this release, and I wish you all the best with your music. Hopefully, we’ll connect on another opportunity!

Hi Doug, thanks for sending this track over. I really enjoyed the uplifting and engaging vibe of „The Sway“ a lot. Super cool chords and a groovy feel on the percussion. While the vocals matched the feel of the song quite well, I personally had the feeling that some of the lines could have still been developed/fine tuned a bit more. Much further success! Hendrik
