Did You Ever Feel?

I think this track has a lot of potential, but there are some concerns I'm having about the vocals and the instrumentation. First of all, you have very electronic drums; on top of that you have a lot of chorusing on your vocal performance. Those two add up to the song feeling more synthetic than I prefer in a Pop submission. What I would really love is a more even balance of acoustic and synthetic instruments, with drier vocals as well, to be a better match with us on future Pop submissions of Yours

mix on the production end is well balanced, vocals come through the music so very cleanly and seamlessly. it’s a super clever track but what didn’t quite match up with my personal taste is the lack of a big breakthrough element which i felt would further solidify the hook on here

Hey Mark, thanks for introducing your song to me. Nice track with a strong meaning and theme. Everything sounds really professional here — strong production, nice lyrics, catchy flow and a very clean overall sound. The vocals and arrangement feel very accessible and easy to get into. For my electronic music playlist though, I tend to pick tracks that are a bit more leftfield and instrumental, and this one is too vocal-driven and different stylistically in comparison. Because of that, it doesn’t really fit the direction of the playlist. I’m sorry. Wishing you all the best with the release! Domas

Thanks for your submission. I can certainly appreciate the quality song writing here. Great melodies and song structure. For me, this track is a little too electronic and dancy for what I'm looking for. I also feel the vocals could have been glued back in the mix for my own personal taste. Very cool melodies. I loved the vocals. The synths were beautifully written too. I just felt that the overall percussion sounds were a little too loud and compressed sounding in the mix for my taste. I prefer a little more subtlety and dynamics in that area. I totally respect what you were going for though. All the best! :)

Hi there, thank you for sharing your music! The production is clean. Great work! I do miss a bit more power overall. I feel like waiting for the song to really start taking off and this is taking quite long. The vocal effects are also a bit too much. Natural sounding vocals are getting more rare and rare so I also believe they are becoming more popular. For me personally. A bit too slow paced as well. This is just my personal taste of course.. Hey Clockwork Lemons, I appreciate the share, but unfortunately this song isn’t quite aligned with my playlist. I find the song to be too Electronic Pop leaning for my playlist and I usually go for Alt Rock based with uplifting and energetic vibes. I appreciate the creativity and execution though! the groove of the track is very alluring, i dig the smooth vocal performance, however due to my own musical taste i would've liked for the track's dynamics to have more depth to it

The atmosphere feels interesting and gives the production a nice identity. That said, I felt the vocals could be developed a bit more, since they do not always combine naturally with the beat and miss some opportunities to create stronger, catchier moments together. A bit more vocal intention and interaction with the rhythm could really help the track land with more impact. But of course, this is just a suggestion here. Então, acabei de ouvir sua música e notamos que suas batidas demonstram ter entregue a imagem sonora bem detalhado, ou seja, a qualidade sonora desse instrumento está com alta fidelidade, incluindo os elementos percussivos. As suas progressões de acordes e melódicos, aparentemente estão com boa criatividade e adquisição de habilidade admitido, uma vez que em uma das viradas de bateria que antecede o trecho refrão aparenta ter cortes de áudio exatos com objetivo de deixar impressão de que a técnica de edição é genial. Eu acho que poderia ter acrescentado mais instrumentos, pois vejo que cabe mais uma frase melódica para ter sua melhor versão. Por questões de seletividade, recusarei esta música. Bom trabalho!
