After two decades of honing the craft of sound architecture, Regina-based artist DFalcon presents "Better Days". This track is a sonic representation of resilience, moving from the "muted" textures of depression into a soaring, wide-open chorus. Technically, the track utilizes cinematic Ashlight/Straylight granular textures to create an atmosphere that feels both massive and intimate. This isn't just a release; it's a creative breakthrough at age 60, proving that the most powerful anthems are often born from decades of experience. Already seeing a high save-to-stream ratio on earlier tracks, "Better Days" is the definitive "peak" for any indie-rock or anthemic-pop curation.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your song! I think that the song had a nice instrumental well done with the feel that you have came up with, the bass guitar sounded pretty well put together, you are a good singer also, well done with the delivery. I think taht there were some pretty cool ideas in the overall groove, but for me personally the melody was just not as engaing this time unfortunately. I think that the song needed a stronger hoook in the chorus section. The guitar solo was cool though, keep up with that, but unfortunately I have to decline your submission this time, I'm sorry. Good luck with your submission!
Hi, DFalcon! Thanks for sharing. The opening of your song sets the listener in a dreamy mood, and it really grabs attention. The guitar line is melodic and matches the delicate vocals. The singer performs each word with emotion, which adds a dramatic touch. The chorus is easy to remember and makes the track a banger. Your song would be perfect for radio rotation, but I think it’s a bit too pop for my more aggressive playlist. I hope you understand. Best wishes!
The song boasts a very harmonious melody from beginning to end, making it quite pleasing. Its sounds, while still powerful, as is the singer's voice, are soft and emotive. The instrumentation never feels out of place, and the ending maintains the melody's coherence. We didn't include it simply because the playlist differs from the song's style, but I maintain that it's a very good song.
Thanks for your submission. I can appreciate those nice guitar sounds. Great vocal. For me, I'm looking for something a bit more expansive with the chord progressions. I'm also looking for something more alternative with the sound as well. This is still a very solid track with a very tidy sound so it's just a personal taste thing. Thanks and good luck with the release.
A beautiful performance both vocally and instrumentally, achieving a captivating atmosphere thanks to its great sound and production quality. The proposal conveys sensitivity and good artistic taste in every detail. However, its serene and extremely delicate style does not quite fit my current search, where I am prioritizing songs with much more lively, dynamic, and energetic melodies to maintain the vibe of my playlist.
Hi Dfalcon! Truly sorry for declining this as I noticed that the mix of the bass and drums were a bit muddy. I’m actually looking to add tracks with low end depth in the bass and punchy kick that have impactful depth. Wishing you all the best!
Great energy and forward going energy, especially coming from the riff, which i like a lot. For my lists athough teh chords sound a b it too much repetitive and forseeable. I miss some more surprises in this regard. The vocal energy is great but also here I miss a bit more warmth in the prod. The drum groove sounds a bit unique with the double bass attack. Great guitar solo and bass playing too. Still, in general I miss more variety in chord progression. Still gerat song! Best wishes - Dominik

I really enjoyed the development of the arrangement! But the production, sadly, was a bit too pop rock sounding for the more indie and alternative rock sound of my curation. Apologies but I must decline this submission.

Hi and thank you for sharing your song with me! For this playlist I am mainly looking for soft and ethereal indie and dream pop with a distinct modern feel to it. Unfortunately I feel your song is not a match for this editorial line. I enjoyed the guitar melody in the intro, but the overall sound is way too far off. It is too much centered around the vocals and hard rock drums and guitars. I wish you all the best, but this playlist is not a match for your song. Thanks!
Hey DFalcon, I'm hearing a good arrangement on this track. Although this track's powerful mood is just a bit too emotional for the more relaxed atmosphere on the playlist. I'll have to decline for now because of this.

Greetings! Thanks for sending in your music. A clean production. Those strings sound crisp. Great work on the instrumental but I am not convinced by the vocals though.. Too many effects on there for me personally. I prefer more energetic singing as well, with less vocal effects. This is just my personal taste of course. I am sure there is an audience for this though. Good luck finding it and good luck with any future projects. All the best, R
Hi DFlacon, thank you for sending your track. Although we loved the track's arrangement, felt very Alter Bridge-ish, we feel the chorus just didnt blow us away. We will sadly have to skip this one. Keep making more music :)
Hello DFalcon, thanks for sending this. I enjoyed the songwritting, arrangement and the overall flow of the track — everything feels tight, balanced and well played. The band sound comes through clearly and gives it a nice classic indie feel. The vocals are well delivered and make this track really shine. The mixdown sounds clean, rich and well-balanced too, with each element sitting nicely in the frequency range. For my playlist though, I’m usually leaning more toward modern psychedelic and alternative electronic influenced tracks, with a bit more texture and atmosphere in the production. This one stays more in a straightforward indie rock lane, so it doesn’t quite fit what I’m selecting right now. Strong track overall, just not the right fit for me at the moment. Wishing you all the best with the release. Kind regards, Domas
Your track has a radiant, uplifting quality that’s easy to enjoy. I loved how the emotion behind it felt genuine, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. There’s a beautiful sense of openness in your sound. Personally though, the brightness in the mix was a bit stronger than I prefer. That’s just my personal opinion and I completely respect your creative choices. Wishing you the best!
Hey Dfalcon! Thanks for sending Better Days my way. The production on this is really well done. Your vocal delivery sounds JUST like Daughtry and has his same signature powerhouse voice that carries the song. The instrumentation and arrangement also is very spot on for that style and feels really well played and executed. While I dig this track, I'm looking for songs where the production is a bit more raw and gritty, whereas the production on this is very polished and incredibly clean. Also, I'm drawn more toward songs that feel a bit more original in their sonic footprint, and given this sounds so close so Daughtry, I'm going to pass on this one. Feel free to send me anything that might be a closer fit. Thanks for reaching out! -John
I can hear the amount of work that went into shaping the sound here, and there are some cool textures throughout. The production feels a bit too processed for my taste though, so it doesn’t quite connect naturally enough for the playlist right now. Letting the track breathe a little more could really help it land stronger. Appreciate you sharing this, keen to hear more from you.
Bom trabalho!
Hi! Thanks for sending your track. I think there is a very good structure here, and the vocal manages to define themselves well within the song. The style is present, and there are solid elements that help the track feel well-shaped. Perhaps the song could still use a bit more identity, something that stands out and helps the listener connect more directly with it. Without that, the song misses part of its opportunity to leave a stronger impression. My suggestion would be to work on catchier and more relatable phrases that can connect with the audience more naturally. That could help push the vocal identity further and make the track more memorable. Of course, this is just my opinion. Wishing you lots of luck, and I hope we can connect again in another opportunity.
Hi, Nice guitar riff. It works together well with your vocal! For my playlist this song is however too upbeat. I am searching for slow guitar songs with a more chill vibe and less distortion. more like Charlotte Day Wilson Wish you all the best with your release! Cheers, Jens
I like the high energy a lot, vocal delivery is just excellent. The track builds up very nicely but the chorus parts didn't bring it home for me personally, however that's just because of my own musical taste
Hey DFalcon tjanks for sharing with me! excellent vocals and production, it’s dyanmic and super catchy, really appreciate the efforts! However îm looking for music to dance in the clubs hence why sadly it’s not a match for my playlist :( So sorry and i wish you all the best!
Hey there, DFalcon - thanks for the submission. I thought your track had a clean sound. For me though, some of the sound choices, beat patterns, and vocals (especially) sounded quite dated and generic imo. I didn't hear enough that was unique, surprising or memorable. So, while the trak is put together pretty well, it's not a song I would want to replay again and again, so it's a pass I'm afraid. Good luck with it.
