Thanks for your submission. I love the raw energy in this track. The acoustic guitar is a nice touch. For me. I'm not quite connecting with the overall mix. I feel like the chorus didn't quite elevate the way I was hoping. Still a nice track and I wish you all the best with the release.
Hi Chris Portka! So sorry for declining this track as I noticed that the vocals were a bit dry, overpowered in the mix, and a little flat. I’m actually looking for tracks with vocals that sit more upfront in the mix, have a little reverb, and are in tune with the melodies.
While I enjoyed the way the melody blended with the chords in the arrangement, the track is a bit too rock leaning for the indie folk and country sound of my curation. Apologies but I must decline this submission.
Hey there Chris - thanks for the submission. Your track has a cool, intimate sound. There's plenty of space in the mix too. I thought the drums sounded great. For me, the guitars sounded a little too thin though. The vocal has character, but felt a little low energy and slightly pitchy in places. I'm sure that's an artistic choice, but it's not to my personal taste. Finally, I didn't hear enough melodically that was unique or memorable. When the song finished, I didn't find myself wanting to press play again. So for those reasons, I'm going to pass I'm afraid. Good luck with the track.
Hey Chris, hearing a great atmosphere and arrangement on this track. However, I really felt that many parts on the vocal just gets a bit shaky in pitch and starts to make the track feel a bit too languid. I'll have to decline for now because of this, but really, the instrumentation and arrangement is already sounding great
Hi there and thank you for sharing your music! A nice and clean production. Those strings sound crisp. Great work! I am not sure about the slow pace of the song though. I prefer more power and uplifting energy in there, especially in the vocals. I am sure there is an audience for this, but for me this is lacking power and energy. This is just my personal opinion and taste of course. All the best and good luck with any future projects, R
Hi Chris, thank you for sending your track. Although we loved the track's arrangement, we feel the vocals just didn't grip us enough. We will sadly have to skip this one. Keep making more music :)
Cool production start with only acoustic guitar, followed by vocals entering at 0:09 together with kick drum. The reason why I am not sharing it is that I'm not interested in productions with kick drum on each beat for my indie roadtrip playlist. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Very interesting sound. I loved the guitars. You have a really unique voice too. I loved the way that you have written the lyrics. I just felt that the overall mix was not for me. I feel that the vocal layers are a little too drowned amongst the instrumentation for my taste. I totally respect what you were going for though. All the best! :)
Hi! Thanks for the submission! I really enjoyed the tune - lovely romantic mood and lyrics and authentic, expressive sound. I like your style but for my playlists I fucus on a bit darker in tone, minor in key tracks. Keep it up!
Hey Dfalcon! Thanks for sending Better Days my way. The production on this is really well done. Your vocal delivery sounds JUST like Daughtry, almost indistinguishable! It has his iconic, powerful, driving tone that really carries the track. While I dig this track, I'm looking for songs where the production is a bit more raw and gritty, whereas the polish on this is incredibly clean. I'm also looking to support songs that are a bit more original in their sonic footprint and given this one sounds so close to Daughtry I'm going to pass (but know it is an incredibly well produced song :-) ) Feel free to send me anything that might be a closer fit. Thanks for sending! -John

Hi!! I can hear the creativity behind this and there are definitely some interesting ideas throughout the track. For me though, the production and mix choices feel a bit unusual in a way that didn’t fully come together, so it’s not quite the right fit for the playlist right now. With a more cohesive mix and refined production direction, this could land much stronger. Appreciate you sharing this, keen to hear more from you.

Bom trabalho!
Hi! Thanks for sending your track. I think you have a very strong style here, and it works well with the vocal. There’s a nice sense of synergy between the rhythm and the voice, especially in the chorus sections, which is a great point. What I felt is that, in some moments, the voice can feel slightly detached from the melody, not necessarily out of tune, but not fully locking into the beat’s accents. This makes certain key parts lose a bit of their potential impact. It would be interesting to focus on how the vocal phrasing aligns with the rhythm’s accents and groove. Tightening that relationship, through emphasys and phrasing, can make the performance feel more precise and powerful. You could also experiment with recording multiple takes and choosing the ones that sit most naturally within the rhythm. Wishing you lots of luck, and I hope we can connect again in another opportunity.
Thanks for your submission. I think this song has strong dynamics, and I like the plaintive vocal performance. However, I'm looking for more aggressive, riff-driven hard rock and metal songs for my playlist. I'm going to pass on this one, but I appreciate you sharing. Best of luck!
