Although in your song the sound power is strong and manages to convey an appealing vibe, also accompanied by an interesting production and good artistic intention, I do not end up finding truly solid cohesion within its overall development. At times the structure seems somewhat disordered to me, and the lyrics do not reach the level of depth or relevance that I am currently looking for in my playlist. Today I am prioritizing proposals with greater harmony, a more consistent identity, and lyrics capable of generating a more significant impact on my audience.

Hey Chris, thank you for sending your track our way. While we loved the chaotic vocal samples here, solid sound design. We just feel the track was too intense for any of our playlists. We will sadly have to skip this one. Keep making more music :)

Hey there Chris - thanks for the submission. Your track has a really unique sound and loads of energy. There are big issues with it though. The mix is so overloaded, it's distorting all over the place, which makes it very hard to listen to. I can hear that there are some cool ideas in there, but overall the beat is quite generic, and the track lacks a memorable hook. The vocals have character, but are muddy and lacking in quality. At 1:17, if feels quite underdeveloped too - more like a sketch or an idea for a track rather than a fully realised song. Make sure nothing is clipping when mixing, and make sure you check on numerous speakers/systems/headphones to make sure it sounds reasonable. Also, use a reference track in your DAW when mixing to get respectable levels. As it is, I can't add it I'm afraid - so I'm going to have to pass. Good luck!

Hey Chris, thank you for submitting your music! This is a great jam with a catchy groove, cool sound and expansive arrangement. Nice sound design, deep bassline, immersive vibe and punchy mixdown. I really dig the track and atmosphere you create with your music, but unfortunately it's just too dense and aggressive to match the atmosphere of my more mellowed, brighter chill electronica lists. hey, Nice bassline in this one. I personally found the mix overcompressed and missing dynamcis and feeling too distorted because of this. I like a more polished mix for my list. lastly I focus less on vocals and mainly on melodic progression in the instruments. Wish you all the best with your release! Cheers, Jens

I normally search for more dreamy and intimite tunes for both my playlists. I also search for tracks with stronger melodies and leads. I have to pass on this one. Hey Chris, hearing a unique production style on the track. However, I did feel that the distortion and saturation on this track is a bit over done. It's present almost the whole way through in pretty much all the instruments. I'll have to decline for now as there are no tracks on the playlist that are this saturated

I am sure there is an audience for this though, but I do prefer a bit more structure and vocals that are easier to understand. I prefer this for replay ability. Loving the clarity of the drums in the mix as it emphasized the groove of the arrangement. But the track is too EDM sounding for the Lo-fi sound I am looking for. Apologies but I must pass for now.

Hey! There's a cool atmosphere underneath this and I can hear the direction you were aiming creatively. The mix feels a bit too muffled and distorted for my taste though, so a lot of the details don't come through as clearly as they could. With a cleaner and more open mix, this could land much stronger. I appreciate you sharing this, keen to hear more from you!

That said, I usually lean towards a more commercial pop sound, and I felt that this track has more of a techno vibe. Because of that, I won’t be able to move forward with it. Hey Chris Portka, One of the first things I noticed right off the bat was that the final mix was overblown. Basically all that means on my end is that I was hoping for a better master on the track, specifically regarding clipping. Personally, I couldn't really hear much of your chords or samples due to the blowing out. Making sure to give your future final mixes a pass with some limiting and/or compression would be key to being a stronger consideration for placement with us! For the music -VH

Hello! Thank you for sharing your track. The song creates attractive and comfortable spaces within the beat, which gives the vocal a good room to develop. There’s a nice structure in the production, and the rhythm leaves enough space for the voice to take a stronger role. In this case, the vocal has a path to grow, but it does not fully take advantage of that space yet. It can feel a bit weak in the mix, so the performance loses some of the impact it could bring to the song. A stronger vocal intention could help a lot here. Giving the voice more presence, clearer phrasing, and a more confident delivery in key moments would make it stand out more naturally and connect better with the listener. The track has got many interesting sound elements throughout. I like the smooth groove a lot. However to better fit my playlist I would've liked for the track to have way more mainstream appeal to it

I really enjoyed the tone and atmosphere you created , it feels cinematic and intense. The writing itself has a sincerity that I appreciated. I especially liked how cohesive the overall mood was.
