i really thought - Remix

Great songwriting and clarity in the vocal mix! But the arrangement and melody just didn't have enough development for my taste. Sorry but I will have to decline this submission.

Very good voice and lyrical flow - love the small riffs and runs while still only using them tastefully and sparse enough. For my lists and taste the curse words a re a bit much though - I am not entirely against it but still feels a bit much. WHat I miss generally though is more dynamic variabillity and variaty in the chords and also vocal range. i miss also an emotional break out. Still great song and delivery! Best wishes - Dominik

Our only suggestion is that the ending is somewhat abrupt and unnecessarily so. However, it differs considerably from the style of the playlist, which is the only reason we didn't include it. Hello davey, thank you for your submission. The track sounds very polished and well produced. Nice groove, lovely songwritting, strong vocals and a clean modern sound overall. It feels very accessible and radio-friendly. For my electronica and ambient playlist though, I’m usually going for instrumental and alternative-leaning tracks with more focus on textures and sound design. This one feels more commercial and song-based in comparison, so it doesn’t quite fit the direction of the playlist. I’m sorry. I’ll pass this time, but wish you all the best with the release - I hope this great song reaches the right audience. Keep up the great work!

Heyt here, davey - thanks for the submission. Your track has a decent, commercial sound. I liked the space in the mix & arrangement. There were some nice sound choices and the percussive touches added some flavour. The vocal is fine, but does feel quite generic - it reminds me of something from the 90's or 00's - like Craig David. That's fine, but it does mean it comes across a little retro - almost dated - so the song itself needs to be top quality. This is where the track breaks down. The melody and song itself are very forgettible and lacks a big hook, or any memorable moments. This might work for pop-R&B playlists or for lighter lists, but I need something a little more distinctive and unique. So, I'm going to pass I'm afraid. Good luck with it.

Hey davey, While I can absolutely appreciate your artistry here, I struggled to really decipher what the exact genre of this song was. This song blends a little bit of trap, a little bit of R&B singing, and some indie pop chords and samples, making it fall somewhere between a couple of playlists - ultimately not being a great fit for either one. On future subs, consider sticking to one clear influence - be it R&B, pop, or trap - to be a better fit with us. For the music - VH

Thanks for your submission. I love those dreamy, floaty sample sound in the track. That guitar sounding sample is perfect for the track. Production overall is nice and lots of creative moments. In terms of vibe the track definitely has a ton of them, you nailed it on the vocal performance, however due to my own musical taste i would've liked for the track's dynamics to have more depth to it

Hi there guys! Thanks for sending in your music. A clean production for sure. Great work on that! I like the soundtrack but I am not blown away by the vocals. I miss some more variety in timbre and energy. This is quite monotone and this is not that great for replay ability. I also prefer more energetic singing at some points and that is what is also lacking here. I am sure there is an audience for this though but it's not my cup of tea, sadly. All the best, R

Hey davey, this is really a close fit for the playlist's rnb arrangements, especially with its progression. However, there's a very electronic sound on this track that contrasts the more natural/fuller sound that I'm feeling from the playlist. I do think it might be the electronic kit/drums that's just a bit too thin combined with the tone of the vocal with pitch effects. I'll have to decline for now because of this difference in style of mix

Your track has a warm, heartfelt vibe that I really appreciated. The flow of your phrasing feels natural and expressive. I also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere you created. vocals are so very vibey and endearing, love that the entire production is centered around it. it’s a super clever track but what didn’t quite match up with my personal taste is the lack of a breakthrough element which i felt would further solidify the hook on here

Hey Davey! Thanks for sending i really thought "remix"my way. Love the vibe on this track and love what you did with the acoustic-ey synth samples. The Justin Bieber inspiration comes through, and I can also hear a little "The Weeknd" in some of the backing vocals. Very cool track overall and really don't have any technical feedback. The closest playlist I have is "Everything But The Therapy" but this is just a bit off what I usually place on there.. this track is just a bit more upbeat than the typical sad/dark pop songs that usually fit the bill. That said, it's great and I'm sure you'll have no trouble getting traction on playlists where it's a better match. Thanks for considering me. I'm working on a dedicated alt pop playlist where this would fit better, it's just a bit too small for Intonality at the moment. Hope I can help you out next time! -John

Hey, thanks for the submission! This was a really mellow & catchy tune, I quite enjoyed the backvocals and the strings. Your voice is really nice but a little pop/sweet for our r&b/neo-soul curation. Also, would've loved a bit more punch/grounding in the production. Hope your song does well with the right audience though :) Best!

Cool laid back production. Nice backing vocals in the chorus. Cool drop at 0:36. However, the reason why I am not going to share it is that the drums feel overly processed and I prefer more acoustic drums for my indie playlist. Of course, this is just my opinion.
