DFalcon’s single, 'Just The Distance,' is part of the album .hope. It is a sweeping, cinematic dive into the emotional ache of physical separation. Seamlessly blending modern synth-pop production with an indie-pop heart, the track opens with a vulnerable, late-night atmosphere that steadily builds into a soaring, explosive chorus. Driven by lush, ambient synth textures, grounded acoustic guitar rhythms, and powerful vocal layers, 'Just The Distance' captures the exact feeling of looking out a window at a vast world while feeling completely anchored to someone miles away. Fans of Richard Marx, M83, The Midnight, and Bleachers will find themselves right at home in this beautifully polished, deeply resonant journey. Perfect for late-night driving, synth-wave, and indie-pop playlists alike.

Hey DFalcon, hearing a good arrangement on the track. However, this arrangement really leans on a more ballad style that gets too somber/emotional for the lighter mood/character on the playlist. It's just significantly too melancholic in mood so I'll have to decline for now

Hey there! Oh wow, that’s a really heartfelt tune. It evokes the deepest emotions in me. I like how that piano intertwines with the guitar leads. Amusing culmination in the chorus. Unfortunately, the vocal performance did not resonate enough with me. I’m really sorry. Your music is wonderful piece of art - thank you for the submission!

Excellent development in the arrangement! But the mix was a little too processed for the more organic sound I am looking for. Sorry but I must decline this submission.

Hey, Nice song that would work well live on stage. The screeching electric guitars and metallic vocals are less our style. The high end frequencies of the mix sounded too harsh and need taming. Overall we focus on more mellow and chill songs Wish you all the best with your release! Cheers, Jens

Hey, this song has good vocals and guitar work, but the drums could be just a bit more cinematic during the final part. Work on this next time. For now, unfortunately, I'm declining. Best wishes!

Thanks for sharing this with me. I enjoyed the energy and there are some nice ideas throughout, but the guitar tone felt a bit too hard and forward for the vibe I'm trying to curate. I think a slightly warmer or smoother tone could help the song breathe and let the other elements shine. Appreciate you sending it over, and keep making music!

really love how full the sound is on the production end, vocals sound so effortless on here. it’s totally just me but i kinda wish the song packed a bigger and tighter punch, something that can sink its teeth in my mind, regardless it’s a super clever track

This is a proposal with a remarkable vocal performance and excellent instrumentation. Together, these elements create an engaging and highly captivating atmosphere. I believe the production is outstanding, and the overall structure of the song is very well crafted. However, despite the impressive work you have accomplished, I do not feel that its style delivers the more frenetic level of energy I am currently looking for in my playlist. At this stage, I am prioritizing songs with a stronger sense of momentum, intensity, and movement.

Only Distance is a proposal that knows how to convey sensitivity through beautiful lyrics full of feelings and emotions. It comes across as careful in its textures thanks to a well-executed use of the synthesizer. However, although it is balanced and sincere, I don’t think it’s appropriate to include, as I prefer a more authentic and natural interpretation. For that reason, I’m sorry. Anyway, its direct message to the listener’s heart is appreciated.

Thanks for sending your song. I think the track has a strong structure, and the rhythm, especially the rhythm, gives the song a nice concept to develop. There is a solid sense of direction in the production, and the arrangement feels carefully considered. I think the vocal has good intensity, but at times it does not fully blend with the harmonic direction of the rhythm. Because of that, the voice can feel slightly detached from the main melodic idea instead of becoming part of the same emotional movement. For future releases, I would recommend keeping the same vocal strength, but shaping the phrasing a bit more around the melody and harmony of the track. That could help both the voice and the instrumental feel more connected, balanced, and better represented within the song. Of course, this is only a suggestion. Wishing you lots of luck, and I hope we can connect again in another opportunity.

Hey DFalcon, While you have a lovely solo pop voice, for a pop sub, I'm looking for a strong upbeat acoustic performance overall - leaning into acoustic guitars and drums, while keeping the vocals clean and clear throughout. This track is missing the acoustic elements, and I think in this case the song is slower than I prefer, relying on longer, more drawn out chords instead of a driving beat and changing instrumentation. Also, the vocals have too much pitch correction on them for my Pop preferences. On future pop subs, consider adding in more acoustic instruments, picking up the pace on the tempo, and avoiding overprocessing your vocals, to be a better fit with us. For the music -VH

I liked the clean vocal track, the straightforward arrangement and mix. However, as I listened, the structure and arrangement felt a bit static, and I was hoping for a bit more development. That said, I'll have to decline for now. Thank you for sharing your art. Wishing you all the best with this release and your musical journey.

I really like the darker and more epic vibe of the track. the vocals sound very powerful and even full of painful emotions and the electric guitar just adds to this emotion. furthermore the lyrics sound really deep and captivating and beautiful and emotional as well. one thing though that makes this trade not a perfect track for one of my playlists is that the chord progression sounds rather repetitive and foreseeable and the mix and Masters sounds a bit cold and harsh to my ears. I miss more warmth and more modern sounding elements as well as more surprising musical elements and the produced track. still great energy great voice great guitar tone. please keep creating. best wishes - Dominik

Hi DFalcon, thanks so much for sending this over. I’m afraid I won’t be able to share this song for now as the vocals sounded a bit too loud and unnatural in the mix due to the processing and the effects used. This is just my opinion though and is not meant to discourage. Other than that, i appreciate how captivating the melodies are. Keep it up and have a nice day! :)

Thanks for your submission. Solid track you have here. I like the raw edgy guitars, and the vocal is super smooth. The production also has a tight polished edge to it. In saying that, I feel like this track is a little bit too down-tempo and also too rocky for my playlist. Still a solid track. Thanks and good luck with the release.

Hey DFalcon, thanks for sharing your track with me. The song has a strong emotional core, and I can hear the care that went into both the arrangement and the vocal performance. The combination of synths, guitars, and layered vocals creates a big, nostalgic, cinematic feeling, and the chorus does a great job of lifting the energy. After listening, I felt the track sits in a more song-oriented space than what I’m currently looking for. For my playlist, I usually look for music with a stronger psychedelic or alternative, lo-fi rock character, with layered, hazy sound, so I can’t see it fitting naturally alongside the rest of my selection. Thanks again for sending it over, and I wish you all the best with the release. Kind regards,
 Domas

The track has a clear buildup and the sections of the song has changes that echo a smooth transition and a solid pay off from vere to chorus. That aside, the song's audio quality does strike me as sounding a little grainy. So for now, I have to say no.

I appreciate the song's overall arrangement and the melody was easy to remember. However, when it comes to the song's quality, the audio had some digital artifacts that made the song sound a little bit song sound a little granular. In the meantime, I'll be turning down the song.

Hey DFalcon, I'm afraid I'll have to pass for now. While I liked the passionate vibe and the impactful instrumental, the vocals had a really harsh sounding tone and the audio sounded quite low-res for my standards.

Hi there DFalcon, the guitar melodies drew me in but unfortunaetly the song's mixing quality didn't meet my expectations as the vocals sounded much too airy and it had a really sibilant quality. I'm afraid I won't be including your song in my selection today.

Hi Dfalcon! Nice to hear from you again! Appreciate you sending Just The Distance my way. Again, really strong Daughtry vibes coming from this one. While there's a lot to really like about this song, I typically go for tracks that are more raw from a mix standpoint. Sorry that I couldn't help this time. Hope to hear more from you soon. -John

Hi there DFalcon and thank you for sharing your music! A nice and clean tune. Those strings sound crisp. Great work on the production. The pace is pretty slow and the soundtrack is soothing/relaxing at the start which is nice. The lyrics are pretty relatable so I also like this. The think I am not a big fan of is the vocals. Too many vocal effects on there for me personally. I prefer more natural vocals. All the best, R
